Cruises

Dayspring is normally managed by a single skipper, and a crew of up to 5. She is ideal for small groups as well as individuals. We run a selection of cruises where novices can learn the ropes and skilled sailors can build their sea miles.

RYA qualification courses

• Start Yachting - 2 day introduction to sailing and seamanship
• Competent Crew - 5 day basic seamanship + helmsman ship, navigation and meteorology
• Day Skipper - become qualified to skipper a small yacht in familiar waters by day
• Coastal Skipper - become qualified to skipper a yacht on costal passages by day and night
• First aid - 1 day RYA course

Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Morning Star Trust is a National Duke of Edinburgh's Award 'Access Organisation' and we specialise in Gold Award residential trips and have also run Gold Award expeditions. Dayspring holds a Small Commercial Vessel Certificate and is fitted with a wide range of equipment including a GPS, colour chart plotter, DSC VHF radio and a Navtex weather information system.
