Holland to Home Update - 22 August 2011

It has all gone according to plan!  After three days in the inland waterways in Holland (where they stopped off at Veere and Middelberg), Morning Star cleared Flushing on Saturday Morning, and sailed across the southern North Sea towards Chatham.  They made such good progress that they have been able to stop off at Harty Ferry before making the final hop home where they are due on 23rd August.

..and what's next?

The next voyage will be with the Osprey Sea Scouts Unit from Preston in Lancashire, from 24th 30th of August, with Mike Banner as Skipper.  Mike Maconochie is First Mate, and Sam banner is Second Mate.
As an Admiralty recognised Explorer Scout Unit, they aim to cross the Chanel to France. Exact destinations will be decided based on  the weather and the tides.
