Dayspring is our 36ft Bermudan Sloop, intended for the smaller group and all those keen to learn to sail or further develop their skills. Dayspring is ideal for running RYA Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper courses.
As Dayspring requires considerably fewer crew to sail her than Morning Star of Revelation, she creates opportunities for much smaller groups of four or five. This enables everyone on board to be fully involved and benefit from the tuition on offer.
Life on board is much the same as that of Morning Star of Revelation with opportunities for carrying out the same tasks and duties. Dayspring is normally managed by a single skipper, but for longer trips there may also be a 1st mate.
Dayspring holds a Small Commercial Vessel Certificate and is fitted with a wide range of equipment including a GPS, colour chart plotter, DSC VHF radio and a Navtex weather information system. She represents a brilliant opportunity to sail a modern yacht at affordable prices.
Morning Star Trust does not consider itself to be a sailing school as our primary aim is personal development through adventure sailing. We are however a registered RYA Training Centre and run a small number of practical courses each year. See the fixed programme for more information about course dates and prices.
Note: Dayspring is not available for bareboat charter so one of our skippers will always be present.
